hard water spots

i have my car at school, and left it parked on the street. im guessing that a sprinkler decided to shower it because after i washed my car, i noticed a bunch of hard water spots all along my hood and trunk area. i immeadiately went and rewashed the car and got most of the spots off, but there are still traces of the water spots. i rewashed the car a thrid time, and i can still see them.

what are the best products and methods i could use to get rid of them? unfortunately its been raining lately so i havent been able to do much about it :(

you know, i'm not sure if a clay bar would work on water spots.

First try HOT water with no soap, then add soap. Windex could also do the trick. I always use distilled white vinegar. Get the car soapy, rinse soak on the vinegar and let is sit for a couple of seconds and wash again with soap. If all else fails you may have to buff them out.

Clay bar and wax work for Me all the time.

would meguiars deep paint cleaner be a first choice to see if i can get this stuff to go away?

Like said above, use the vinegar. Don't waste your time with anything else, hard water spots are a bitch!
