anyone ever get these bolts off? (bumper core)

    pic stolen from another thread.

anyone ever get these bolts off without strippin em? they look so fragile, and my first attempt resulted in a broken torx bit.

can the bumper core take heat? maybe some torch action helps to loosen things up?

If you don't care about the bolt getting messed up, slot it with a rotary tool and use a flathead screwdriver.

Whack it straight on the head first...

We call this worrying the bolt... (I don't know why... It's English) but it will usually release the threads.

Use a good quality (and the correct size) Torx bit.

will i really be able to put down more torque with a flat head screwdriver than a torx?

when you grind em, how do you remove the remaining part?

I couldn't get mine out either so I just un bolted the bumper shock and swapped it out.

Use some PB Blaster and wack it a few times with a hammer. Mine were pretty rusted, but they came out okay. Use the correct torq bit also (T25? off the top of my head)
