Last time I got some, about 8 bucks or so. It is rubber so doesn't really chip and a few thin layers will prevent peeling. I used to cover so much stuff at my old job with that stuff.

$6 per can at my Home Depot. Also, just so everyone knows, you don't have to sand anything you're applying this stuff to. One of it's main uses is to make grips on the handles of tools, and it doesn't require being sanded first, it will bond regardless. Just clean whatever surface you're applying it to with soap and water, then something like acetone or GoofOff, and you should be fine.Last edited by Jand3rson; 02-21-2009, 04:06 PM.

I started doing one side of the car today, and this stuff is a little tricky.
It says on the can to put it on heavy enough to get a good, wet coat. It doesn't stay in place while it's drying that well, but I think went too heavy with it at first. I'm doing the trim while it's on the car, and it won't stay at the top edge of the trim, it's all running down the angled parts of the trim and forming big globs, and everything at the top edge is piling up at the bottom edge. But like I said, that's my own fault.
I'll say this though, it peels off really easily! But not to a fault, it sticks REALLY well. I can't see any issues with it chipping, ever. It literally comes off like the consistency of a rubber glove. It literally took me 5 minutes to peel it all off, and I got each section off in one continuous piece, so don't be mad if you fuck up the first time!
I'm probably not even going to bother masking the other side, the overspray literally rubs/peels off. But the areas you want it to stay in will stay stuck for good, as long as you don't peel it up. This mod is 100% reversible.
One more thing, it also looks really thin when it first goes on, so don't get to worried about it not looking right. It darkens up as it dries.Last edited by Jand3rson; 02-23-2009, 04:33 PM.

First side is done, I'll have to get some pics later.
MAKE SURE you have a damn sharp razor blade around, you're going to need it to cut between the tape and the parts you just painted, otherwise you will pull huge chunks of it off. And you're probably going to in a couple of tiny spots. Just peel SLOWLY.
