Great idea, and looks good 2 me.
FYI..if anyone wants to black out the yellowed strip on the window strip, the paint pens at walmart (in the fabric section)are miracles in a pen, lol!! only 2 or 3 bucks, and all you have to do is stay between the lines. layer it really slow as u go. takes all of an hour or less to do front and back.
did mine months ago and still looks great...even has held up to the florida sun and bugs.
      my 2 cents!!

Excellent. I'm gonna be doing this sometime next week! I coated my headlight grilles a few weeks ago and it really helped. Anyone know how to get the chrome trim off the center grille so I can coat just the black portion?

Yeah, I was hoping it came apart... it looks like it comes apart but I dunno. I just finished coating my rockers and mirrors; came out great! I used Duplicolor truck bedliner for the rockers and Krylon Fusion for the mirrors.

Yes the chrome piece is able to come off the main piece. They have little plastic tabs that lock it in place. You have to be really careful not to break them, but it is doable!

wow i did the same on my car but i used rust-o-leum truck bed paint on the rockers, plastidip on the shadowline (which i kinda rushed so i have to redo) and a mix of duplicolor and plasti-dip on the mirrors. gotta love DIY details. you did a really good job too
