IX flares and skirts

So i found a decent deal on some IX side skirts and flares, i have a 86 es. will the late model kit fit on a early model car without modification? Do i need to drill into the rockers for clips?

Yes you need to drill into the rockers, not a big deal imo. But more importantly you need to use the BMW/3M double-sided tape IF you don't want to drill into your fenders (don't cheap out on this tape).
I've heard that early and late model cars have different "arches," so you need to do your research on that. Also ix cars have 4 specific molding pieces.

It won't fit. Early model IXs have a different kit.

The rear flares will not line up with the rear wheel arches.
