yeah, but where else are you going to find parts like that? there are some damn good deals over there occasionally. i guess that offsets the cost of shipping and then some. the steering wheel came with a matching shift knob.

You are trusting and lucky. I'd never buy anything without being able to see what I am buying.

This has the potential to not end well. All over.

                  wow,

you guys can be serious debbie downers!:D i have been buying alpina parts from europe for almost the last year. so far, after over a dozen transactions, i have always had good luck. i look at the risk as part of doing business. europe has egay feedback just like here. i send an email beforehand and ask permission to bid. i base my decision on the response i get. if i don't get a response, then i don't bid. i have lost out on some pretty awesome parts with this policy.

i look at it this way. i have restored other cars that are way more expensive than e30's. in comparison, these parts are cheap. very cheap. if you want to do something different with your car such as adding alpina or hartage parts, where else would you get them? it will be a cold day in hell to find them here in the u.s. unless you want to pay through the nose at ksk.

yes it is a little risky. if i ever do get stiffed, i will leave the guy shitty feed back. i will still buy parts this way, though.
