    88 325e - Mtech 2 Kit

Just got a 88 325e and trying to get everything needed to add a Mtech 2 body kit:

    Body kit itself - https://www.garagistic.com/products/...40405172125795
    Bumper Carriers - https://www.ecstuning.com/b-genuine-...51118100572kt/
    Front bumper brackets - https://www.garagistic.com/products/...41496819499107
    Rear bumper shock - https://www.ecstuning.com/b-genuine-...r/51121971855/

if I'm missing anything, have anything listed above I don't need, or cheaper way to get the Mtech 2 mounted please let me know. As I understand I don't need to update the valance, that 88 comes with diving boards but correct/late model valance for the kit.

    thanks for any help

Hold your horses. Try to get used late model bumper carriers as new are pretty expensive for something you can't see. The front bumper brackets you posted are for putting euro bumpers on an early model car. They don't apply to your application. Your 88 already has those short bumper shocks so you should be able to run them with the plastic carriers.

I definitely agree to try and get the late model bumper carriers used as it would be like 1/3rd the cost of new. If you have trouble finding them then PM me and I can recommend a guy on the Facebook R3Vlimited group that often sells them.

You'll also need both front and rear bumper shocks typically referred to as "late model plastic bumper shocks". I'll attach a picture of the correct shocks.

The shocks that came on your '88 are for the aluminum "diving board" bumpers and the ones you listed on ECS tuning are not the right shocks for either plastic bumpers or an M-tech II kit. The bumper shocks you listed from ECStuning are actually already on your car.

As reelizmpro said, hold your horses, and figure things out before jumping the gun.

You are correct in that you already have the late model front valance for either plastic bumpers or the m-tech II kit

^ there we go. Since people swap plastics on 88's all the time I thought maybe the shocks were compatible but see now that they are different. Hopefully, you can score the shocks when you get the plastic bumper carriers.
