If I remember correctly, you own a blue 87 4door correct? or is it a yellow 2 door?

Go ahead and try to fit the kit, just forewarning you it will be a labor intensive install if you do it yourself, and expensive if you have a body shop do it.

This 1987 325es two doors. One of my friend work at body shop for 24 years and willing help me to fix the kits. Anyone successful to have BMP kits on 1987 325e/es?

I'll post a picture of perhaps the ONLY properly fitted, good looking BMP kit.
As for Mtech2, dont even bother thinking about mounting that on your '87. The costs far outweigh the benefits in my opinion.
Fabricating a good from mount setup is important for the BMP kit, it will eliminate the wavyness.

Thats painted black to look like a semi stock bumper. It is just the regular fiberglass/ABS plastic. To get your's to fit like that, be prepared to spend lots of time at the body shop with them. :up:

It STILL looks like ass. Look how wavy and warped the front spoiler/bumper is. That kit is just complete garbage.

And those mirrors are TERRIBLE! :D

And I think I just noticed that he has one of those carpet dash covers...

i like it. the look of the rs1 kit looks euro .... but that what i think and that my what ive seen is that people love it or really hate it. so when i finish my car i a month or so when i done painting it ill post a pic

And Josh, you are wrong.... I've examined the picture closely in Photoshop, as the original is much larger, and there is no wavyness. It is a trick from the shadows.

That kit is great looking, It doesn't look wavy at all...............the paint to look like trim looks good too!

On a side and more important note, the plastic bumps fit on all cabrios regardless or the year, correct? From what i remember all cabrios had lower rear arches.

Becasue i have been considering replacing my quaters with post 87 quaters to gain the lower fender arches but keep the pre 87 tailights. I dont like the idea of buying a post style 87 becasue i dont like the tailights although i guess i could buy one and switch the tailights instead. Decisions decisons.

Yeah i do to some extent. Im currently on the road to becoming an auto body techinician, so all the work i mentioned would be preformed by myself. I can see where what i said could set off some red flags regarding skill level, there are alot of drive mechanics that think they are profesional mechanics and auto body technicians.

Given the E30 as a whole machine, its future, its worth, and its current value... that would have to be the most economically UNSAVVY move ever. That would cost an arm and a leg, look foolish.

Remember the lower rear arches require the lower rear panel under the lights, (its thicker under the later model lights)

To undertake a project of that magnitude, you might as well buy 2 crashed cars... one in the front, one in the rear, and splice them together.

Buy a newer car unless you wish to spend at least a year and 20k to make that little contraption.
