i just wanted to say with this picture that round headlights are not typical for bmw... there are also other cars with round headlights. typical for bmw is the kidney but not the headlights. ;)

How did they fit the rear M3 fenders? Weld, sand, paint?

Racing Dynamics has been putting similar square headlights on E30's since the 80's....personally I don't care for it at all.

Also the rest of the grill trim (ie, the trim run across the bottom) is similar to an E34, and I recall seeing a guy trimming down an E34 piece to fit his E30...turned out pretty good, but not my cup of tea ;)

IMO, the front end (ie grill area) of the pre-90 BMW's are the most attractive feature of them, so why change anything.....if someone wants a newer, more modern looking front end, then buy a newer, more modern car where the rest of the car suits the more modern front end.

well, square headlights are hardly more modern than round ones, they haven't been used on new cars in over 10 years!

I want to see pics when you get it mounted. How is the lighting quality of those lights compared to the ellipsoids? My guess is that it sucks.

not the lights, the front end as a whole with less grill showing

Edit: BTW, round lights have been used on automobiles since the early 1900's....square lights not until appx 1970's.

then phased right back out w/ the growth in popularity of ellipsoids & other new light projection stuffffff
