Thinking about rusting my trunk

    Thanks for the post! I'm currently at a point where I'm not in a position to put any money beyond basic maintenance on my car so I am tempted to do this to my hood and trunk because the paint is coming off anyway. I live in an apartment complex that has a dirt parking lot and no covered parking so the paint (which was failing when I bought it used) is getting destroyed. I've pretty much committed to keeping the interior and engine/drivetrain up but the exterior is kinda shot so I'm thinking of the rust look.

      I've done this before. I got tired of it. Keep in mind- when you actually decide to paint the car, even if its just rattlecanned, you either need to take all that rust off which is a PITA, or buy new panels.
