    Opinions: Remove my board/bike racks?

So I've been back and forth on this subject in my mind for some time... and a friend tells me on AIM the other night to loose them - the look isnt right on an e30. But my deal is that I actually use them. I MTB all the time, and board when possible. BUT - I really need the cash for some maintenance items on my car... suspension, bushings, t-belts, motor mounts, etc and I do think it'd look good without it, I mean look at everyone else's cars... they look great.

What's your opinion? Do you like the look better with it or not?

If you remove the racks, how are you going to get your MTB or board to your destination?

You make it sound like you're going to sell it?

Keep them, if you actually use them. Of course your car would look good without them though. How much would you sell them for? 8)

What the hell are you asking here?

They take 2 minutes to put on or off- just take them off when you aren't using them. If you leave them on because you think they look 'cool', then you are a retard.

My mountain bikes wheels fit in the back seat and frame sits in trunk. Takes 2 min to put back together. :)

Seriously, you are making it sound like you keep the roof racks on as an aesthetic modification?

Re-read the post... I ACTUALLY USE THEM. Obviously, asthetics have a play in keeping or taking them off, but the real issue is that I'm using them less, and need some cash. No need for name calling children, it's a question motivated by real needs and the idea that a dedicated community has a valuable opinion.
I can fit the 'Dale in the trunk if I take my car instead of riding along with the rest of the guys... My question was simple: I need cash, this is an easy way to get some. Do you like the look or not? I value others opinions - it's why I asked.
If I sold it, it'd go on Egay more than likely, winning bidder takes it.

I think it looks just fine, I've always thought that roof racks looked good on E30's.

Re-read my post killer. I said "just take them off when you aren't using them."

                    Its as simple as that.

Word except that mine all fits in the trunk. I remove the carpet and have seatcovers for my seat so I dont get mud on it. I just roll in, hop out, assemble my bike, and ride off the side of the hill to the entertainment of the fishermen on the dam.

THen get home, pull out the bike, wipe down the trunk. Then toss the bike into the yard, hose it down, and oil the chain.
                      Im now E30less.

I use a trunk rack for my bike. Or take the front wheel on and back seat it.

I dont drive around with my rack on though...

                        Sold it.

M-kay... I think I'll pull it off then - Wind drag and gas mileage are driving me nuts too.

Looks like I'll throw the bike in the trunk or ride along with one of the guys or something. No offense intended to you Brew, my appologies
