Look at the e30 roof where it meets the rear window. After the window rubber, the roof is still at an angle before it gets flat. Therefore a roof spoiler would have to mount straight to the metal to "look right" and would also have to come up with a way to conform only to the rear facing portion. In other words, the window is too small.
Summarry: while the idea of a roof spoiler is something we all dream of, the general physics make it dam near impossible to do.
Have fun with the fiberglass. Report back with my findings. Repost when other noobs bring this up.
Why must noobs always have a fiery birth before they understand?
ummm go fuck your self =]
no need for what your starting. and stop talking in the third person its gay. if ur calling me a noob, call me a noob, be a man about it. stop being an old asshole. not needed.

lol, i probably wont end up doing that.. i kind of just wanna see what a good one looks like on an e30. ive seen them on many e46 (such as myselfs) and e36s. but never on an e30.
Is there e30 roof spoilers? Yes, my car has one. I don't know if it fits
regular e30's...Anyone know?

There was one for the E30 back in the day, kinda looked like the factory Supra one, but made of smoked lexan. Ugly as fuck IMO. I can't remember who made it, was one of the lesser german tuners like Pfeba or some shit.

To my recollection, the only OEM roof spoiler was the M-Tech II spoiler specific to Tourings. There is a possablity that IF you could source one, you MIGHT be able to adapt it to a coupe/sedan. It'd still look tacked-on though...
Well i tried this today. I already got bashed on it at bimmerforums. Needs to be fitted correctly but it was an attempt at something different.
I guess then I'll be the first one (and knowing you guys, probably the last one) to say it: I like it.
E36s have them, e46s too. Why not the E30? It does not lose any of its "boxy" personality. E21s, porsches and saabs about the same age even had louvers. As with just about any changes in the looks of an E30, some people will like it, many won't...to each his own...I like this much better than, for example, the CSL trunk spoiler they sell for the E30...

Good job. Get yourself a 3rd brake-light deleted rear shelf, and fit it a little better, and it would look proper. What's it from, and does the brake light function?
