I'm going to pick one up and try fitting it properly and painting it. Fuck the haters, I think it looks good.

Getting the brake light to work would be even better, then you could use the M3 rear deck with no brake light, much cleaner looking.

Early *e30's also have no 3rd brake light ;)

Interesting solution with that spoiler... It looks OK so far, but I just think it will look odd from far. To me its mounted too low relative to where the roof line ends. Plus the bulging window seal makes it look like a true after thought. Maybe if it was mounted above it...

btw are the MK3 roof spoilers rubber or plastic?

Any e30 made before 1986 has no third brake light.

I'm not a fan of 3rd brake lights, but i'd like to see more pictures of this spoiler on there, maybe further away shots.

Well it was just a test fit guys im trying to think of how to extend it about an inch to fit on the window seal. i painted the third brake light and its not too noticable, but if you wanted the light you could run a wire for it definately. Ill post more pics later. Mus be off now

This looks great, I'll have to pick one up. What year Golf came without the brake lite? Props for finding this, will go well with my Volvo lip and Taurus skirts, fuck the haters.

i agree fuck the haters, it seems as tho most of the e30 community is stuck up and cant deal with what others think looks good. To each his own, but no need to be a hater.
IMO i think the volvo can be fitted great and even the taurus skirts have looked ok on some cars and this is a great idea..innovation at its finest, we need to find more cars that can swap parts onto the goood ole e30

Well if people are looking for a cost effective lip that isnt a volvo i have found one that looks pretty darn good. Its from a 80s foxbody vw cab. Just needs the side trimmed and lines up good. The bottom has a little bit of flare so its not just straight.

Right now im rocking a mk3 jetta lip but im getting a legit is spoiler soon once i manage to get the funds. You might also be able to fit a few other lips on e30 and ill post more once i do some research.
The roof spoiler is hard to attach because it has no base. What i would do personally before fitting this roof spoiler is adding maybe a half inch of plastic or cutting the edges to make the bases flare more to fit on the window moulding to look proper. Double sided tape will work fine. It doesnt really take up any visibility in the window, at least any that you need unless your staring at planes in your rear view.
A few more for the moment. Ill take some more cool pics once i throw on my euroweaves im picking up tomorrow :]
