painting kidneys

how do i remove the silver kidney part from the frame/piece thats its on?
i see the pin things on the top and bottom but they don't budge when i try to pop them out....i don't want to break them....is there any other way?

Try and pull them they wont break.

I broke them out and replaced them with screws.

Push the center pin through, then pop the larger piece out.

i guess i really have to force them out...cause i tried pushing them with a little bit of force and they didn't budge

It should work, I did mine that way, you just have to work at it.

With some difficulty I used a small screwdriver to push them out and reused the same pins afterwards. Just tedious is all.

Yea they won't break but when you pop them out make sure you have your hand over them that way you don't loose them.

well i lost it and ended up drilling those pins out...but i painted them and found out my kindneys are all scratched up and screwed. so i'm going on the look out for good condition kidneys that i can paint.
