The reason you don't see any of the edges is that it is probably a larger piece mounted behind the hole. I don't understand what you are looking for from us. People have said that it isn't factory; this is an e30 forum. There's a ton of info here, but it is ridiculous to think we can look at a piece of plastic grate and tell you exactly where it came from...

Thanks, a real reply. I asked because I have seen some very educated individuals on here, some who can identify pieces by seeing just a corner of it, a bell housing bolt pattern a silhouette of a TB or a matting connector. What do I expect from a group of gear heads, knowledge and hazing if the answer is known, cursing and hate if it is not. I came here from pirate4x4 afterall :finger:
