    powder coating is easy

Just wanting to show you guys what can be done with a $35 powder coating gun and a $40 oven.

Here are some engine covers I did for my motorcycle and some wheels I did for a friends e30 for the upcoming drift season. Sorry for the phone pics

The dips in the kawasaki cover were left because I am gonna cover that center part up with something, most likely aluminum. And you can see some trash in the clutch cover... its in the clear. I shouldn't have wasted my time clearing on top of that black because it didn't need it but I sanded and buffed all that out now. When I get the bike out in the summer I'll get some pictures of it all together.

Yea its really not hard at all, and prepping for powder coat takes about half the time.

Did you off gas the engine parts first? Thats the most crucial part in doing a part that was previously exposed to oil

Craftsman powder gun. Its a piece. IMO its biggest downfall is the powder feeding system. But for my small stuff it has gotten the job done alright. If I ever get into doing larger pieces more frequently I will get one of Eastwoods guns.

I have the eastwood gun. Its okay. I should have ponied up for the dual voltage unit though. Some powders are harder to adhere then others.

Not as nice, but my friend did these at my place with a harbor freight gun and a toaster oven. With more prep and a bit more powder these would have been tits. Anyone can do this stuff at home. If you get a shity electric oven off C list you could even do some 15-16 wheels I bet.

                      I did these.

Excuse my ignorance but can this be done with a gas oven as well?
