Windows, to tint or not to tint?

Just interested in you guys' opinions, I taped some black construction paper to the inside of the windows of my car to get an idea of what it would look like tinted. It looked pretty sharp but I have to say it took something away as well. It didn't look as classic, more street if you will. So I am trying to decide whether to tint or not to tint. I live in Texas so tint would definitely help in the summer when it is hot as hell!!!

    What do you guys think?

Actually I was just referring to what everyone would do in general / with their own cars. But here is a pic of mine, I welcome all opinions regarding mine as well. Thanks

is that a reference to how high my car sits? If so, that's funny, I recently put those wheels on and knew I was going to lower the car. I've been in the unsprung section trying to figure out my plan of attack.

I am not a fan of tint on the E30. Looks better on newer cars.

I say tint it. then shadowline. I have 20% in the rear, and 35% up front.

Here is a pic of my tint:

painting the chrome window trim black. Look at my car in the pic above. All of the window trim is black

Generally speaking, I'm not a fan of tint. But some cars can pull it off ok, like Erik's shadowlined delphin car.

For your car, I wouldn't add tint, for appearance reasons anyway.

Erik, your car is dope bro! Check out mine at the top, do you think I should paint my chrome black? It's kind of hard to see, how did you get a large pic to paste onto the page? I am going to request that (tint and shadowline) in the photoshop section and check it out.

Jonathan, I think you are right, the tint seems to contrast to much from the color of my car. What's "dephin" car?

I don't really care for the tint look, but when I get my seats recovered I'm going to have my windows tinted so the leather doesn't get destroyed. I'm not into the super dark tints either (I like my visibility), so I'll probably do like 25-35%.

I like 15-25% all the way around depending on how strict law enforcement is about window tint in your area.
