I used 12 screws and double sided tape. Tape on its own is not enough.

You could use rivets or screws. If you have tendency to drag it, the rivet heads are thinner and will not last as long. You could use self tapping teck screws if you do not have a drill.

The best way to go would be to mark and drill it then use something like an 8mm screw and a AN washer on each side followed up with nyloc nut. This way you are not relying on the plastic to hold it tight be the nut and screw to do the work.

I used 12 short self tappers and spread them as evenly as possible. I've even ran over my lip 2-3 times when I was low and the splitter saved it from braking., the screw points changed since for me but it works just fine.

I have the screws he sent with mine still in the bag since I haven't installed it yet. I'm pretty sure the bag has a BMW part number on it; I'll look at it when I get home and post it.

Nevermind - the p/n on my bag with the screws in it was for valve cover bolt grommets.

Still haven't gotten around to putting mine on yet... I'll probably go with self tapping screws someone here mentioned.
What size did you guys use?
