how to get rear bumper off?

ok the front was pretty straight forwar the front airdam had holes to get to the bolts on the bumper shocks and then the bumper slid right off....but the rear apron does not have holes that grant acces to the bumpershock bolts so i have no idea how to take the rear bumper off....i need to take the rear bumper off so i can get to the rear apron to take that off but the rear apron wont let me take the rear bumper off...so any help is really appreciated i need to get this thing off asap

you have to access them from under the car, the rear of the exhuast will need to be dropped to get to the Driver's side mount, and on the passenger side you have to get to one threw the trunk

you mean the bolts that go into the bumpershocks that hold the bumper on?...i can see the bolts inbetween the bumper and the apron i just cant get to them with a wrench because the apron doesnt give access to them like the front...i dont see how i have to get to them from by the exhuast and the trunk....

If there is no way to get around to the bolts with the valance on you are going to have to figure out a way to remove the valance.

He's talking about where the bumper shocks mount to the car. Not where the bumper mounts to the shocks. Look in your trunk in the battery recess and you will see.

Just remove your rear valance first, then remove the bumper

no im talking about where the bumper mounts to the shocks once i get those two bolts out the bumper will slide right off(same as front) and i cant do that without taking the valance off but i cant take the valance off first because the bumper is hiding the bolts holding the valance on which is why im trying to take the bumper off

plastic bumpers with rear apron ?

if so, I bolted the shock to bumper, lined it up, removed it as a whole and installed apron onto it., then installed bumper and apron as a whole.

apron does cover the stud that mount bumper to shock.
never the less, there should be enough room down there to install nuts onto bumper shock studs. you may have to move aside the muffler.

What did you do to get it off in the end?

well...apparently the bumper in the rear was not being held on by the two big bumper shock bolts....it was being held on by two screws..i took the molding off and tada only 2 screws holding the fucking thing on...as soon as i took those out the bumper slid right off...hell the rear apron was probably the most secure thing on the front or rear cause it was being held on by like 11 screws or more..the front was held on by like 5 the rear bumper held on with 2 screws ...the front bumper held on by the two big bumpershock bolts eh fuck it i dont even care...as long as my car makes it down to florida i dont really care...i dont care whoc alls it a hack job or a rust bucket i dont care how it looks anymore...i just need it to drive 1,300 miles once i get down there i may keep it or sell it whatever doesnt really matter to me anymore
