That may work on light anodizing, but don't underestimate how thick it is on DB's. Could probably measure it with a ruler. LOL

I think I'm gonna try some of the oven cleaner here soon and report with pictures.

Oven cleaner works well to remove anodizing in most cases, you may have to play with the times a little, could take 5 min could take 2 hours. I have had good luck with easy off in the yellow can on some bike parts in the past. Don't panic if the aluminum starts turning a dark color, this wipes right off with CLR.

If you don't like sanding, do not attempt this. I've heard it takes 80 grit to remove the anodized finish and you will have to sand with progressively finer paper, removing all sanding marks before you can polish. It's a very time consuming project and if you don't take the time to do it correctly the results will be less than satisfactory.

If you sand the anodization off the bumper, it will require exponentially more cleaning and polishing once you do. The best solution I've found is the deoxidizer product from Classic Trimcoat. There should be some pics in my build thread.

Lol. You'll regret starting. See how slow it strips & you'll see. Who knows DBs could be different

Stuff like this makes me consider moving to California only for a second. I'll probably just bust out the electric sanders and go to work.

I swear I seen that too Keith, I'll try a spot on the under side and see. I really don't feel like sanding forever.

Lots of sanding to remove the anodizing. It's thick. Really thick. Pretty much step sanding up to 2000 grit then polish. Mag aluminum polish worked for me. Took me a maybe a week.
