    discolored window gasket fix?

Hey, I just purchased a 1985 325e this week and after some poking around I was wondering if there was any way to fix a window gasket that looks like this (Picture below). I've looked up a few things, couldn't find anything to correct it.

Might just paint it black maybe some forever black or just paint? Anyone got some ideas how to fix the discoloration (if its even possible)?

Yep. Order a new black lock strip and install.

I mean, the strip it self is good. Just its an annoying color.

Don't wanna ruin the nice seal around my window :P

The guy who replaced my windshield recently said he would replace the "chrome" strip in my rear window inexpensively if I wanted. Doesn't require a new seal or anything.

pastidip or black spray paint. or if it's nothing major and they just look a bit worn out you can get mother's "back to black" and it does a good job at restoring black trim (good for bumpers and mirrors, too)
