What Color Vert Top Do You Like ??

Hi,
I have a white Vert that needs a new top.
Black is standard but in Las Vegas the heat is brutal.
There is a top color called Pearl Beige.
Does anyone have any pics of this top?
And since no decision should be made with R3V input...

The owner of the car specialty/detailing shop next to my office said when it is time for a new top or rear window on mine that she can order the plastic tinted in several available darknesses. I would do that with the tan top & tint the rest of the windows too.
In your sample, the tan top looks good to me.

on a white vert i would go with a burgundy top, just my preference.

the car is white [alpine white 2 i think] and the interior is all black leather and the oem top is black except for the holes/tears which change color as i drive.
its lowered and 15" beyern wire mesh rims.
i'll get some pics up.

I agree. I'm Black on Black with grey leather and its not too bad. Granted Northern Nevada is less harsh that the surface of the sun you call Vegas. Stick with black and keep your A/C charged.

i think im gonna go with black.
maroon looks good but im not brave or flashy enough

i bought this dvd that shows some crusty old guy installing the top
for being a 'professional' he sure did a ruff job imho
no prep cleanup, wrong tools on weatherstripping, messy glue, etc.
i also saw the youtube bmw official videos which are good but not to much details.

when i do it im going to document it so anyone else can see it step by step. i mean i havent done it but im confident in my abilities. im gonna adjust all the windows too so i'll show that part.

im probably gonna get an ez-on brand top. the gahh/electron/robbins are alot more money, some like double the price. they probably are better but im not rich.
plus the top wears out from being stored away. so even the expensive tops will get trashed.

im not sure about the new tension straps. i think they just make sure it folds right but i could do that myself. if anyone things this is way wrong, please let me know.

my seals all seem okay. so the german oem type material [or what they called oem replacement] will be about $350 and a weekend of love labor.

thanks for the replies. i found a trick to keep cool in the insane heat. this is real. i freeze a small bottle water and keep it between my legs. if the little guys are cool its a whole different world. im gonna see if its cheap and get some of those cooling seat elements from lincolns etc to put in the seat,

I have an e30 1988 Cabrio and i had the same dilemma , i pick the brown one, maybe because my interior is red, i really like the way it looks...



And also ave an e36 cabrio im looking or the best top color, and i think on this one i m going black...
