ECS Tuning- colour of mtech grill emblem

Hi guys, I ordered this emblem from ecs. On arrival I inspected and the colours of the m stripes look to be off. The "red" I almost a pinky peach. Anyone else experience this? We're the grill badge colours different like this? It looks like the m stripes are a sticker rather than painted plastic.

Did I just get a crap unit which I should exchange?

If that's an original NOS part, then it's quite possible that the colors have deteriorated over time. I've seen it before on new badges.

Yeah looks normal to me as well. Have an extra NOS and it looks just the same.

It is a sticker. Can't you see the corner where it's kind of peeling. It looks normal though.

It's not uncommon and yes it is a sticker.

Hey guys, I decided to send a couple pics on to ecs and they were great. One of the reps told me that this one may have been in the sun. They are sending me a brand new one. Great customer service!

good to hear. But the new one will most likely fade over time anyway due to uv radiation. Best will is to mask it and paint a new layer of red on it or to put a coat of uv clear to protect the colors from fading :D
