    Vert Rear Valence

So im not sure if theres a thread for this already, but im wondering if there is an alternate route for the rear valence on my early model vert. I already installed the plastic bumpers but i would like a valence in the back and i dont want to weld one on. is there anything else i can do? if yes whats the best way do it. help pls:D

You could do plastics then get a MT2 rep valence. I have thought about this option as well but would look rearend heavy w/o skirts and a front kit.

i already converted to plastics and the front valence. rear valence and a volvo lip is the last step. so what do you have to do as far as the mtech 2 rep valence?

anyone got any pics or links for something like this
im planning on doing something this and wondered the same thing

my idea would be to take the apron and cut off the part that fits where the bumper is then attach the trimmed/bumperless part under the plastic bumper.
i'm thinking that would help by keeping the bumpers balanced front to rear
the question then becomes...is the apron to big, massive, heavy for the rest of the car?

i'm trying this to hide a trailer hitch completely.
pop a plug out of the apron for when i'm trailering my dirt bike.

It's not welded from the factory, it's part of the unibody. You have to hack it off of the donor car with a sawzall.

I did this exact conversion on my '86. We mounted mine to the body using self-tapping screws, then did about 1.5" long welds about every 3-4", then sealed the entire seam using automotive seam sealer.
