How to remove front rubber bumper trim on diving board bumpers

How do you remove just the rubber trim on the front bumper?

87 325i, so the diving board bumpers.

    Thanks

There are pinch clips holding the trim in place. It will be far easier to remove the trim with the bumpers off the car so you can push the clips through from the back side while compressing them with a pair of pliers.

You can try and pry it off while the bumper is still on the car, but it likely won't end well for the trim where the clips are held.

I would also recommend taking the bumper off first.. it is very easy to take on and off and makes removing the molding 10x easier..

Look under the bumper for the 2 bumper shocks. There are 2 nuts on each shock attaching them to the car. Remove these and your bumper should come right off. No need to remove the plastic trim around the bumper either. Don't forget to unplug the connectors from your turn signals either.
