    Chrome Trim Necessary?

I've long since liked the non-chrome trim look. I always assumed people just removed the trim all together, but now that I've actually looked into it I see most people are just painting the trim. I'm wondering now - is the chrome trim functional somehow? Do I need to keep it, or cal I remove it all-together?

    Pros? Cons?

    thanks for the feedback,

Without the trims you will have dumb looking rail from the bottom of the a pillar to the start of the c pillar. Will look wrong.

You can also wrap your chrome trim with black trim vinyl or buy 318is shadowline trim.

Are you talking about the chrome around the windshield to? It's easily removable and can be replaced with used trim from a 1988+ car. I'm going to be removing my black lock strip and replace it with chrome on though. I <3 chrome.

Well, I sold my last e30 in search for a new start. I'm looking at a car that's missing some of the chrome window trim which had me wondering what others have been doing.

Thanks for the timely response everyone.
