    Trim question?

Is it ok to drive around without the trim around the windows? I need to make mine black and i cant really do it in a day. Nothing bad will happen if i take it off and it rains or anything right?

The chrome trim? Its shouldn't. Aww, I like the chrome trim on your car, it looks classy on black cars.

I wouldn't if rain was in the forecast. Water getting in areas like that is asking for trouble. Either wait for a dry sunny week, or until you have night to go it in one day.

Very true BUT mine is all Oxidized and nasty looking. If i could find some *NEW* trim id put it on, but id rather be all stealthy and sleek.

P.S. Ok, no rain week it is, maybe next week or the week after, i need to get a 3M pad and some paint(SEM of course)

I dont know, exactly BUT from what i hear, you slide that little clip on the top back and the twist and pull up on the trim. The bottom takes a shirt, screwdriver, and good luck.

it's a PITA.. be careful, it's easy to bend the trim. my passenger side wasn't too hard, but the drivers side did not want to come off.

The lower trim on the front windows is easiest to get off without scratching your paint. Roll the window all the way down, and with a flathead screwdriver, pry the trim up from the inside (using the glass as your leverage point), starting a little bit from one end and working your way down. No scratches and no bent trim this way, too bad I didn't figure that out until gouging a little bit of the paint on the passenger door.

Ah, just bite the bullet, get some newpaper and lots of masking tape and paint it on the car. I tell you what, that was a royal pain in the ass, and im thankful that my paint has help up very nicely even after my door trim has chipped. If I could have gotten it all off easier I would have rather done it off the car. I feel the only advantages to doing it on the car was that i didnt have to take it off, and i didnt risk chipping it when i put it back on. Bad thing about doing it on the car was that there are some spots you just cant get with the spray can, and when you look very hard you can see some chrome showing around the seals,, but thats on the inside of the door. I think it turned out well.. Good luck, and remember jordan doesnt have all of the trim on his car, and he is doing fine

Fog light blanks? You mean painters tape? They are both cracked/shattered, awaiting NEW french lights, just need to order them. Currently dropping $$ on my seats though.
