    late model valance identification

does anyone know if the stock late model valance has a part number engraved/imprinted on it? I bought a replacement but I want to verify if its OE BMW and not some chinese ebay knockoff. It looks identical to the one im taking off, but thats just a visual inspection.

if it's from BMW it will almost always have a sticker on it with a part #. they use the "easy shred, never budge" brand of sticker material too which is a bitch to remove.

speaking of aftermarket/knockoff parts I've noticed more and more rubber parts where the BMW logo has been scratched off. weird.

they put stickers on new parts. big giant ones with the part # etc. usually in unfortunate locations and they don't like to come off. there's not necessarily a sticker on parts that came from the factory when your car was built.
