Bav Auto valence on 86 325e

Hello, I have a 86 325e lacking the plastic front black valence, I dislike the valence that was stock with the car, so i'm wondering if I buy the later model valence off Bav auto would it fit even close to mounting points that pinned the original valence down or, would it require making my own mounting points, the part number is 41 33 1 961 227, thanks for any help

Yes it will fit. But....... You'll have to cut of the tow hooks on your car, get the fog lights that belong in the late valance or the fillers that go in it when fog lights are not equipped in the car, along with the brake ducts, then you'll have to attach your diving board bumper trim to the later valance, and then you'll still have to buy a lip for the later valance. In the end your 86 will look like an 88 e30 in the front.

What BMW calls the valence panel is the metal bit under the bumper, and that's what
Jason describes fitting, and yes, having done it, it's pretty straightforward.
The rubber bits for the bumper even mount up like it was factory
      (it was, for the 'vert?)

The plastic at the bottom is called the 'lip' and it's not easily interchanged without
      swapping the metal part, too.

Fits fine, i got mine used in the same color for $100. Like they said above, you need to cut your tow hooks off, cover the cut with paint so it doesn't rust, and the hardest part, change you fog light connectors to the new style plug. My cars a 87'

Will the early model "IS" valence fir on a late model (88+)?
