Wax residue on trim and window seals... urgh!

    ...K
So it stopped raining for a day up here (knock on wood) and I am starting to look at cosmetics on my iX I got 5 months ago when it started raining.

The previous owner must have waxed the car without too much care not to get the rubber. All of my window seals and side trim have white/pink (car's red) wax smears.
Washing doesn't do anything. I am affraid to use just any random chemicals without knowing what they'll doo.

    (.Y.) R cool.

Use the Paint Prep and a toothbrush to work it into the trim. Then just wipe it away with a cloth.

3M wax and adhesive remover, followed by forever black or maguire's trim detailer. Works like a charm.

Spray the 3M onto the trim, let it sit for a few second and wipe away. If the wax is real stubborn use a toothbrush. Follow up with the forever black or if you can't find that get some maguire's trim detailer.

I've had good luck getting wax stains out of my trim with simple glass cleaner, but I think it will dry out the rubber eventually if you do that too much. I also don't have wax build up on mine, but sometimes I goof and get some on the rubber (and of course it dries instantly!).
