Early E30 Euro Bumpers vs. City Living

Anyone running chrome bumpers in the city? How do they fare against those who "park by feel"? I love the lines of the early chrome bumpers but I do appreciate the abuse my diving boards can take. I don't know if I could deal with the heartbreak after investing all the time and money.

They don't have bumper shocks do they, just direct bolt on to the frame?

Yes, just a cheap bracket holds them on.

Baltimore VS EU bumpers Baltimore Triumphs!!!!

I wouldn't put them on any car I street parked in a city. Nobody knows the word parallel parking or how too. That's why NYC has those rubber mats on the rear bumpers.

I love seeing those and trying to figure out if they were purchased before or after the bumper got trashed. They're never on a well kept car....

OP just keep the diving boards. I've seen many people just bounce off of mine and laugh as they leave with cracked body parts while I quick respray my trim.

Man, this makes me sad. I think I'm just going to take my bumpers off, polish 'em up, and appreciate them for the big beautiful bumpers that they are.
