e36 M3 rear apron/defuser on the car, and finished.

I finished up the fabrication and bonding required this morning. All in all I'm VERY pleased with how this project turned out.

    Without further aido:

The bumper will sit on the car as is until warmer weather. At which point I will do the cosmetic bodywork to the peice, and it will at that time be fully finished.

Visually I couldn't be happier with the fitment and the way it works on the car. Its wonderful. I also cut out the diffuser openings, this is strictly visual, but I like it. Seems more purposeful.

Artisticly the way it complements other lines on the car is great. It flows right into the sideskirts.. of course, but more subtley the diffuser flairs out, matching the opposite flair above it on the M-technic II wing.

I also have 1 of the 2 rear side bumper trims finished and on the car for the photos. I've decided to leave the bumper trim black, because I think it looks funny bodycolor. I have not decided if I want to leave the diffuser black, or have that painted bodycolor. Right now I am swaying for bodycolor.

Soooo we agreed my car would be shipped next week, and you'll have it done by the end of April correct?

Oh and if you can fabricate/drop in my e39 M5 V8 too that would be sweet.

Looks great. I'd keep the diiffuser black, it would compliment the bumper trim very nicely I think, maybe a plate filler too if you want to go that route

Yeah, I do want a plate filler actually, I just need to find one for my car.

              Black diffusors look sick!

It looks awesome. I think your car could use some euro bumper moldings though.

Why buy new euro bumper moldings when I would just have to cut them up and destroy them.

I think I will shave the rear side markers, and get Euro trim for the front.

                All in time.

Oh yeah, I forgot you have to modify the bumper moldings as well.

Blame BMW for making stupid skinny side moldings that dont even remotely match the bumper trim. Moreover they dont carry the same line around the vehicle, they are a different height. I think e30 side moldings are horrible :(

I have been looking into adapting side moldings from another car (non-bmw) that just happen to be VERY close to matching the plastic bumper trim. If that works out, I may end up going that route.

SEXXY!!! I love it. Looks great man. I wish I had your ability/talent. I would leave the deuser black. IT will ad a little contrast to the back of the car and all the body color.

If you move to Bend, you will have to take me for a "test" drive. :D
