There is this gunk on one of my wheels and its really caked on in many spots. A tooth brush is a perfect size for the job, but it's not abrasive enough even with wd-40. Is there something in between a wire brush and a toothbrush that would get the job done?

Thanks for the tips guys, I used it because I don't care about the paint because it needs to be redone anyways, and I have some engine degreaser which may be similar and it didn't get good results. I really need to get one of these brushes.. Work all day tomorrow though gonna check if walmart sells them!BMW tech

Wouldn't a wire brush make scrapes in the metal? I don't want to paint them once they are ready and have all these scratches because I attacked them with metal on metal! Work and school has been occupying me so I haven't had any time to work on the 30 barely.. cant wait until school is out! calculated my last work+ school week in hours and it's 73 hours. Been making $ but losing time for baeBMW tech
