    Aftermarket Spoiler Question

I recently picked up a 318is. Not that familiar with e30s yet. Previous owner put on an aftermarket spoiler. I would prefer the OEM/stock (part# 51-71-1-945-710) version.

It's mounted with screws that are drilled into the trunk/deck lid about 4 1/4 inches from each other (see attached photo). Is that the same distance as a genuine rear lip spoiler? I am hoping a genuine one mounts up using the same holes

    Thanks.

nope, someone fucked up the rear deck lid on that 3 series with that m3 e30 rear spoiler
    with that drill job

The rear is deck lid uses totally different holes

    good luck!
If it's got tits or tires, it's gonna cost ya!

Those 4 holes used for your current spoiler would be useless if you want to go OEM (part# 51-71-1-945-710) The OEM style spoiler you want will require you to drill 6 holes across the edge of the trunk lid.

I figured as much but was hoping for a miracle. The things people do...

Does anybody have a photo they can post of how the standard spoiler is mounted?

The picture above represents the holes needing to be drilled. Did it myself and it's super easy. Measure twice, drill once.
