Which taillight style do you prefer?

I started this poll on E3S back in the day, and it turned into a pretty good discussion.

I myself prefer the '88 - '91 style, but I think the smaller ones looks pretty good as well. I just think the larger-style fills out the rear end of the car better. Of course I would never want to see a set of the larger ones on an M3! Let's see what everyone here thinks.

Of course if you are an E30 M3 driver, vote for what style you think looks best on the non-M E30.

I like i really really like the look of the volvo tails but i have a bmw so whatever. ;)













Tough one, i have had both sets and umm they were fairly decent but i like the pre 88 i "think" a bit better. but 88+ isnt all that bad oh fuck it i dont know wich one i like. :roll:

The early style look better smoked than the newer style.

I personally find that the 88-91 taillights are just too big & bulky for the rear of the e30's. I also don't like the "stock" taillights (84-87) either. I do however find that the MHW smoked taillights on the 84-87 models are the nicest look around.

the back of the pre-88 cars with the squinty looking tailights, no rear valance and diving boards reminds me of a duck..

on non-m cars i like the bigger tails alot better. but on m cars the smaller lights look so damn sexy

I like both but it depends on the car and what has been done to it. The US spec early cars look goofy with big diving boards. This detracts from there style, I don't like the late model rear wheel arch, but do like the tails so, I comprimised and bought an early car that at some date after I do important mods ie speed and braking stuff, I will change out the body stuff.
