Ummm... thats upside down, but I'm not sure if LEFT side in picture is shorter.

Same effect is achieved by adding lenght to lever that is by the motor.

my rendition. it removes the need for the drivers side linkage. only catch is you might need to hammer the firewall in a tad to keep from excessive rubbing due to the new angle of the middle wiper linkage.

also, in order to properly complete the wiper delete mod, you MUST purchase a delete grill from the UK :pimp:
the bloke i asked, sent me one for cost of shipping because they are a 12/$0.10 over there

That plastic cover is easy to make, no need to buy one. Cool idea on removing the driver side linkage.

          My girlfriend didn't approve.

"What'd you do to your wiper?" "Don't ask" "I did, did you break it or what?" "No, i did that on purpose" "Why? That looks stupid as hell, you make fun of cars for their paint jobs and wheels, but you do something stupid like that?" "It's kind of an old european car thing" "This isn't europe, it's america, and it looks stupid here!"

          :(

I have a spare linkage and motor in my garage, maybe if I get some free time, I'll start hacking it up . . . ????

I can't imagine it being that hard to make this work. Even moving the motor to the middle. As long as you know the sweep of the motor.

the motor doesnt have a "sweep" it only rotates so you really cant move it to the middle. the setup requires the small arm to make the reciprocating motion for the wiper.

                            im done here

Did you not look at the link i posted? The wiper motor just turns, it's the arms that loop to make it seem like it turns back and forth.

                                Rocla,

I modified the linkage like you said today! I actually took about 13-14MM out of the linkage, it might have been too much! I put the linkage into my vice and turned it by hand and it certainly had a full sweep! THank you for posting that information! Free mods rule -- especially when they cost $200+! And I was gonna pay that!!
