Starbucks or bubble tea cups stay upright between the brake handle and my driver side seat :). Just infront of the seatbelt. They stay well too when i'm going around corner. That's a "Tall" starbucks usually :P.

Yeah, that looks like the perfect place for you to pull your foot back and annihilate whatever drink is in there.
While I know that is a rare occurence, it's just not worth it to fuck up once and stain the shit out of my carpet. The only time drinks go in my car is if I'm picking them up from some fast food place.Comment

I kicked it a few times when i first got it but never with a drink in it and only while exiting the car. Now I'm used to it and it's not a problem. I don't usually have drinks there, just on long car trips or when I'm picking up fast food. In both cases I'm aware that there is a drink in the vicinity of my feet and I'm careful not to hit it. Anyway, I think that is about the best place to put a cup holder in our cars, it's as out of the way as any other cupholder you can get.Originally posted by Eurospeed88

All I use is the E32 7 series cupholder that is designed to grap the lip of the shifter console. I then put on some of thos evinyl bumpers for cabinet doors to make it grab onto the lip of the pocket behind the ebrake. The reason I like this one so much is that its not attached to the car so there is no damage and it goes in the glvoebox when not being used.
Im now E30less.

Cup holders rock for quick fast food runs for your friends or, more importantly, long trips.
I'd only want one that's removable though.

or we could all just go to your local gas station and pic up one that hangs in your window seal for $2.95 and use it whenever u need. and if your not using it, pull it out and drop it behind your seat.

I have the factory BMW cupholder, I like it except for the fact that it rattles sometimes. mainly I use it as an armrest.. but I also get coffee after work on my way to school, and I'd much rather have a cupholder than drive with hot coffee between my legs!Comment
