OEM e39 M5 wheel paint code

I was told that bmw does not have a paint code for
chrome shadow but rather a process. They lay the black
down first and then spray a light coat of silver over it not
completely overpowering the black base. If you notice with
M wheels that are chrome shadow, the whole wheel including the
insides are black. Also, when I used to work for bmw and someone
had to order e39 m5 wheels, no 2 wheels ever looked the same, very
inconsistent, enough for many customers to notice.

It looks sick! *as in good* none the less.
I have seen many Black Chrome wheels as well - looks fantastic! Weight is the only issue - but if you do not care about that - black chrome would work. It adds about 4-6lbs per wheel depending on the wheel size.'89 "is" = M technic II build mode.

Just finished phase 1 of trying very hard to duplicate the look. BBS uses a 4 step process, this is a 4 step process using 2 different Cos. - 1) a wheel stripper/chrome 2) a wheel re-finisher for the final step. The pictures do not come close to doing the color/depth justice. Process still needs some minor tweaking.[I

It might be less expensive to get the identical wheels here, do the process and ship them east.
