    Red needles?

Anyone got a set of guage cluster needles from an M3 i could buy? Or if not, for those that have painted them, what did you use (brand, color, etc)? Thanks

Red fingernail polish or Red Testors model paint work the best.

            Take off knee bolster
take off 2 screws with your hand from the trim under the cluster.
remove 2 screws on the bottom and 2 on the top of the cluster trim that goes around the whole cluster
remove the screws holding the cluster
disconnect the wires holding the cluster ( remember where the small ones go, those are tricky )
take off all 15-20 screws that holds the cluster together
            paint needles

and work backwards to put it back together.

I did mine with the Testor's red after driving an e30 M3 (they come with red needles). It was easy and looks great.

Too red, needs to be more satin. I hope to do this in the future, but definately not high on my priority list.

I plan on using the real M3 cluster, that way I don't have to install an oil temp guage when I do my 2.8 turbo

James just get that 3 gauge pod for the ashtray pocket. Then you could monitor oil temp, pressure, and boots/intake air temp without anything being mounted on the pillar.

I think the red needles look hot but he is right they ned to be satin.
                            Im now E30less.
