    Euro bumper swap?

talked to a guy today with an 84 e30, 320i. gray market car. nice guy, spoke with him fora bit. i want his bumpers lol. i asked if he'd be down for a bumper swap plus cash, he seemed like he may be interested. the front one has a bit of a ding in it though,a nd the rear has some surface rust

    1. is it worth it, or should I just hold off and do the plastic bumper swap?

    2. how hard is it to get euro bumpers on a U.S. car and vice versa?

Euro onto U.S. pretty simple some minor wiring and a couple holes driller, noe US onto euro would require some custom wiring, most likely a new front valance with the holes for the U.s bumper surrounds to screw into and a ton of holes drilled into the body in the back for the bolts on the bumper surrounds

Worth it? Its just as easy as he said, I did the swap in an afternoon. I can garuntee the plastic bumpers will be MUCH harder unless you have an 88 (read Jordans article).
      Im now E30less.

go with the euros....it is pretty easy to do. As for the ding and surface rust, you might beable to have a body shop fix 'em or somethin. I know im having mine straightened and painted to match the car.

I think you're talking about the E21 320i. None of the e30 320s were imported to the US.
