Yeah. You can scour the parts places in the UK and Europe for a used one but with the exchange rate and cost of shipping its still gonna be high.

did we not just go over this a few days ago when someone
posted those magical part numbers? if you will remember, half
the parts were on "backorder" and there weren't many of the
parts that were in stock...i talked to my local parts manager
about possibly acquiring the in stock parts now and grabbing
the others when they became available--and he advised against
it...seems that BMW often will place older model parts with minimal
demand into "backorder" status for a while and, without warning,
                            change the status to "NLA"...

start buying this stuff before all the parts become available again
and you may end up with 1/2 a kit...

are you talking about BMWNA or BMW in europe? I'm sure you'd stll be able to get the parts in europe from BMW, but I can see why they would drop mtech2 here. When I ordered parts for my transfer case they came straight from germany (expensive as hell too!), I'm pretty sure the chain is considered NLA by BMWNA (lucky it's a fairly standard design!).

of course E30 owners are usually too cheap to buy this sort of stuff anyway ;)
