    Out of curiousity

I have clearcoat peeling from my passenger side door, and I noticed that the repainted parts are more of a cream white then alpine white, however the paint under the clearcoat is an exact match.

soo the question is, any quick method of fixing this? such as just peeling the damn clear off :p

I will be repainting the car in Dec for the MTech1, however I am curious if there is quick ghetto way that will solve this issue now

you could probably sand it down (not through the paint though!) and cover it with some touch up paint, but it won't be easy. I used paint from www.paintscratch.com for my wheels and it worked really well.. I wouldn't try it myself unless you're up to the challenge; you may end up making it worse, but it is very possible. either that or pay a shop to do it, but you may as well just wait until you get the whole car painted.

          this is what I think:

Alpine White I - no clear coat
Alpine White II - clear coat

This is just what I think. Please correct me if I am wrong.

my car doesn't have a clearcoat. alpineweib II is still the one stage paint. I think it has the clearcoat mixed in. not for sure. Maybe only the repaint area has it.
