Here's what my grandpa did to his....

Make the floor bed out of plexiglass so the entire undercarriage is visible. (you'll want to detail under their at least. better would be to coat/color the parts in chrome. The plexiglass should be a casing with about a 2" space between the top and bottom. Fill the plexiglass casing with water and plenty of goldfish (the sun will reflect on them). Have a hard torneau cover (that matches the color of the rest of the truck's exterior) for the back so the fish don't broil in the sun.

in the truest sense of the word, a pickup should be able
to haul things in its bed--otherwise it isn't a pickup...

I don't get it. If you want a truck, buy a truck.

If you want a car, buy a car.

I guess this is why I don't like El Camino's, and like Subaru Brat's and Baja's even less.

But that's just my . Good luck with your project, and use CFP for the bed.

i had to get an e30 in order to not be kicked out of my house, just kidding, but i really like e30s and my dad had a parts car lying around at his shop and we decided it would be cool and fun to make a truck, have something original. i also dont like big gas guzzling trucks, this however is a small and fun to drive truck.

I think an e30 truck hauling around a trailer made from an e30 trunk would be a pimp parts hauler (have you friend or s/o drive it and be your pit crew).

throw a 4.0 bmw v8 in the truck and use it to trailer your track car. Throw basketweaves on the trailer for good measure, maybe even some early style taillights molded into the trailer.

is that an eta? or a 318?

the eta engine would actually be a pretty good truck engine..

now if you could finagle a 4 wheel drive system in there and throw some bigger tires on there....OH SHIT.

                              325ex converted into a truck....

I suppose if you found an ix with a blown motor, you could pick it up cheap... buy an eta motor for like $3 :P and start from there!

it was an 86 325e, so it was an eta, but now i have brysons old m20 and everything was converted to i parts, theres barely any original parts, interior, exterior, and in the engine bay.
