    E36 Coil-overs?

    I've heard that e36 coil-overs fit E30s????
    Does anyone know about this?

I'm more interested about the rear springs
because I need to lower the rear and you
    can't beat the price of cheap, E-bay e36 coil-overs.

.... As you guys can see.... I NEED THEM

just for looks... so I won't be adjusting periodicly, probably just once and that's it, and
like said you can't beat the price of cheap e-bay coils; I think they were $35 buy it now.

I have a pair of OBX e36 coilovers that I never used if you are interested. I would sell them for $150 shipped. I payed $190 for them. They have been used by a few e30 people with good results as well as on Randy Sparres blue e30.

No, they're not. I never got around to putting them on so I don't know exactly how it will go but from what I've researced...
Front... You have to trim down the spring perch so the coilover can sit lower, otherwise they wouldn't lower the car. You also have to cut the sleeve a little smaller so it will fit.
Rear... The sleeve doesn't fit over the lower control arm nipple thing, so I have heard you have to bore out the sleeve to fit over it. I don't see why you couldn't get some from an e36 instead of making the coilovers accomodate the e30 ones. You also have to drill a hole throught the control arm so it can bolt to the coilover.

I just bought some springs from Bahnstorminge30 and when I am putting them on I will inspect the car more and see all the details about installing e36 coils.

                    Bump:

                    Did you take a look?

Here's another guy selling the same springs and if you take a
look at the rear springs, it looks like they WOULD fit our cars (same mounting)

These have a $36 buy it now. :?

I think we need to bring back that "R.I.P." section for wrecked cars we had back on E3S, because I think there's going to be a new entry soon...
