you dont have to. you can even make cut outs in the lip for the tabs. i didnt do any of that. but when zip tie, you zip tie 20 of em to the valance. take the oem lip clips off and youll see 20 holes. put some on tight and some on loose so if you smack your lip and something happens to the point it falls off, the loose ones will save it and leave it hanging.Comment

for me the front was perfect but the sides shot out. i did a hurry-fit on my car since this isnt my only lip. i set it up to the valance. centered it with the cut out to the oil cooler grill, and put some tape on it to keep it in place. i let it rest on the tabs that hold the bottom 2 screws of the fogs in. then i carefully pulled the sides in to mark the holes, got up, carefully pushed them back in to mark the trimmings and started drilling/cutting and now mine looks how i expected.
its not nearly as done up as cris' but for about an hours work jacking, cutting, drilling, painting, it came out fine for a beater lip.Comment

Finally got the lip to fit properly today. Took me a good 2hr, but I'm very pleased with the outcome. I'll take some pics for you guys tomorrow. I took off the stock clips on the valence and place the lip on. From there I drilled every other hole from the valence to the lip. Its all tight and secure, will probably get painted over the weekend with the rest of my upgrades. ;)Comment
