    Removing underhood rustproofing?

Has anyone stripped the yellow rustproofing and NOT painted and then had it start
to rust and or bad consequences? I am in Michigan by the way.

Also does anyone have a pic of an Alpine white car with white wheels?

    thanks
    Nick

    depends
valve cover and intake manifold are aluminum so don't have to worry about rust...

Yellow rustproofing... are you talking about cosmoline? If you are, then taking it off won't cause rust.

Sandblasting a metal object and then leaving it bare will cause rust.

if you sandblasted the valve cover theres a good chance you now have sand in your engine

Sure, if you sandblasted and put it right on the car.

Only an idiot would do that though, and only a complete moron wouldnt take steps after sandblasting to make sure it was cleaned out.

:stupid: excellent question Jordan, mostly because people don't stop and think of the possible outcomes before they pull the stunts they do. then they regret it later and gives everyone else a good laugh
