Chrome window trim to Solid Black?....

What do you all think of the chrome window trim on a black e30 to be painted to a solid black...does the chrome offset the black better or what? what do yall think looks better?

It depends. Usually the black trim (shadowline) looks better.

It depends if you want the all black look on your black car or you want to keep the crhome to set it off a bit.

I personally will be doing black on my black car.

Black on black is definitely the way to go.

depending on what year you have, you should do the door trim as well as the windshield trim. I went even farther when I had my aluminum bumpers and even painted them black. Now they are history

I was unsure about doing the shadowline too, but i love the way it turned out.

IMO shadowlining makes the e30 look newer

                      Do you have metal bumpers?
I think you shouldn't shadowline if you do since that'll
draw more attention to them and make the car look unattractive.

Take pictures if you do shadowline! :)

I took the top lid off the car and then did it, Masking off was not hard at all.

black diving boards.. looked okay IMO

I have these bumpers and surrounds if anyone is interested. Will let them go for a good price.

Mine is all oxidized and spotty, too. One more thing on the list of things to get done before I drive the car.
