I'm a state over in CT and that's illegal. I know of someone a few towns over that did it at 50% and he got pulled over all the time and cops asking if he had anything in the car. It makes you a bigger target, you know?

And stereoinstaller, can I quote part of that flaming in my sig?

No longer stock ride height, rolling as low as a daily driver in New England should without worrying about breaking an oil pan.

1: NEWB! get over the lack of supportive answers, you get a mix of 50/50 here, kid.
      2: blunt cum!
3: windshield tint? makes me thing your an idiot for a few reasons.
      • lack of visibility at night
      • lack of pothole spot-ability. you want to see them bitches
      • cheap method of keeping light from inside. do 5% all around, and keep the windshield clear. you'd be amazed on how dark it will be in broad daylight
      • registration/inspection stickers. if you have them, every 10-12 months you will need to rentint your window... sound ghey to me.

I figure I will chime in on this.. Living down here in TX, the windshield tint has been the best thing for the car. No fading, etc from sun and it is always cool. You will not even know you have a 50 tint on, except it keeps the UV, etc out(I did 30 on side and 50 on front). I've been pulled over for speeding, etc and the cop never says anything(neither has any inpection place-If the mention it, I say it was facotry UV film. A few cady's had some film crap in the 80's). Also, inspection stickets will come off without tearing up the tint(jsut dont use metal scrapper). I just take it off before I go to have inspection done-Just take it off easily and hand it to them at the inspection place.

If you get a high quality tint/install, you will love the front tint. Go ahead a flame on, but most of these people have not been in a car that has been tinted. Maybe up in Canada or something, it is not needed, but here I think it rates as a close must have.
I'll post up a pic tonight or so.

Wow, so someone spoke up for the tint.

The lack of clarity through tinted windows is what makes it stupid.

I have seen some crappy tint (I had some that Volvo of Richardson had on my last S40-crap on rear-blurry), and if you go for that, then don't do it. If you spend for the high grade llumar and have it put on correctly, you should not have any blurry view through it (if you put on the 50). If so, take it off. I don't want to suggest you do anything unsafe, but for me (being in my 30's), it has been great. If my vision goes (I don't have glasses), then I may decide the tint needs to go. Anyway, just evaluate it for yourself.

I plan on getting my front windshield tinted too.. something like 80% for the UV protection. I hate it when I feel the sun beating on my face when I'm driving

well the shop that quoted me the 80bucks is using the good UV tint, not the cheap ebay shit; and also told me that they will cut the little openings for the stickers so it wont be noticeable-
also they told me when i get new stickers if i dont want to do it myself, they'll put them on for me for free...

not too bad of a deal.

I understand the whole point of being a target (my project car is a DA integra) which is why i was hesitant at first getting it on the daily but im definatly going to give it a shot and see- worst case, i pull it off- waste the 80bucks- at least i tried.

IMO getting 5% all around would make me more of a target then doing this. i've been in cars that had 20% and 35% on the window, and that i can agree is dumb, especially the 20%- however 50% is not really that bad. I'd even get 60% if available.

Why do you use a BMW/e30 board if you drive an integra? Used to own one?

my integra is my "project". although i have to say lately ive been doing alot of work to the e30 and kinda put the teg on the back burner.

                    these are also fairly old.

Clean integra. I dig the simplicity, hope your e30 comes out the same, minus the dipped in paint look.

if you think r3v is bad now just be glad you werent around when jordan was around. r3v seemed to be alot more harsh then. if you want people to kiss your ass id head on over to e30tech. its much more civil over there, alot less valuable content than here, much more of a noob friendly community.

its definatly crossed my mind- the hubcentric rings i have for the dr6's (blackrims) wont fit the dr20s on the integra, my main reason for not switching over...
I also am slammed about 3+ inches on the integra so sticking 17s on there might suck.
i dont know about that particular color (bronze) on a red e30. i kind of wish they were silver.

maybe after im done doing the painting and sideskirts and all i will give it a shot, at least to take some pics
