    Removing glass tinting

I'm looking at a nicd 325xi, but it has dark window tinting that is coming off on the drivers window. How hard is that to take off and replace? How do you get it off? It doen't look like it peals off very easily.

I took mine off with a razor blade and glass cleaner. Just get a piece in the corner to peal off then pull. After its off there might be some sticky residue left behind. Simply spray on the glass cleaner and start scraping it off with the razor blade.

use a heat gun. if you get it hott enough it wont leave behind so much goo. and makes it much easier than just a razor

Another method that works well when the sun is around:
Spray the inner windows with ammonia, cover them with black plastic bags cut open, let the sun heat things up, peel it off.

Yeah, i was going to suggest ammonia. They always say to make sure any window cleaning products dont contain ammonia if you have tints cuase thats what the pros use to remove it.

            Good luck!

I used a steamer my wife has for clothes and it worked beautifully. I was able to peel both layers at the same time with little residue left. Then simple windex with amonia took the little remaining glue off.

Yeah use a steamer. My buddy owns a window tinting shop and thats what they use.
