E30s with roof racks? Hot or Not?

I run a 3 bike Yakima unit only when I'm using my bikes though. Because it takes a whooping 15 minutes to put it on.

I LOVE it. All winter long my car looks mean with that thing on there.
Throw on the mudflaps, and it looks like a true sporting enthusiasts racer 8)

I've had the same Yakima rack that has gone on about 4 of my vehicles. I don't ever imagine getting rid of them.

Using it to carry our bikes to some of the trails.

I need to get one for my car, with an m-tech 1 rear spoiler, a trunk bike rack dosn't fit to well. I could just ride my bike the 3 miles to the trail head but it's all uphill on the way back. I used to ride it all the time when I'd do 200-300 miles a month. But now I'm lucky to get 100miles a month in.(out of shape)

They look awsome. I love it when I have my rack on the car and carrying two bikes to hit the country roads or bomb down the mountains. It looks badass

I only have my roof rack on for the winter when my ski rack is on. (install/removal SUCKS in the cold)

and in the sumemr/fall... only when i'm using it to hold my bike. Otherwise I prefer the lack of wind noise for a non-roof rack'd car.
